Welcome to the new web site of VFW Post # 9097 in Hurricane, West Virginia.  At a number of meetings over the past couple of years, Trustees and Officers of the post have discussed ways to get more involvement in post activities, meetings, etc.  One of the ways discussed was the sheer number of people now utilizing the internet to learn, and to discover things about their surroundings, communities, countries and the world.  To attract these tech-savvy people as new members it was decided that we need to have a presence on the world wide web.

We welcome you to the web and encourage you to click on the links at left to learn more about the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Post # 9097 in particular. This web site is under constant construction so check back often to see what is new at the Hurricane Post.

Mountaineer Post # 9097, in Hurricane, West Virginia was chartered April 29, 1966 and today has 302 members, 153 of which are Life Members.

In addition, the post has a very active Ladies Auxiliary and recently formed its first Men's Auxiliary.
